PO9 - Function effectively as an individual and in multidisciplinary settings with the capacity to be a leader

Attainment: 75

Self Assessment: 3.8/5

This PO relates to how an individual holds a capacity to lead while functioning effectively in multidisciplinary settings. The module that maps with this PO is Engineering Design and Communication. My team was formed with students from different engineering disciplines background. My team conducted survey which the target respondence are University student if they are satisfied with the existing built-in table panel in the lecture hall’s seat. According to the survey, it was found out that the built-in table panel is not enough for student’s activities such as note taking. Therefore, the team came out a Multi-functional Detachable Table Panel (MTDP) and this product was meant to tackle one of the Grand Challenges. In addition, I was a secretary yet a co-leader of the group. I supported the group-members with most challenges that they met. Besides, I assigned tasks among teammates and ensuring everyone of us understand the role we are in. Eventually, the project was completed within time.

After completing the testing and experiment with the prototype in our project, presentation was taken place. My team was supposed to have a presentation regarding to our findings, problem arises, experimental results, numerical results, limitations etc. The presentation demonstrated to Industrial supervisors and Academic supervisors as we required valuable and technical feedback from the experts for our improvement. Poster was prepared for the presentation as the team included non-technical overview in it.
